CNC Machinist
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out machining and repair tasks for the products. The Machinist will also be required to assist in assembling parts within the machine shop, carry out dimensional inspection of components, and aid the Assembly department when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manufacture complete components using the various machines available in the workshop, following the provided specifications.
• Complete in-house manufacturing documentation and bookwork through the ERP system.
• Liaise with the Machine shop supervisor and Production Engineering to resolve any queries related to drawings or processes.
• Work with Production Engineering to improve production processes.
• Refurbish and repair damaged components using the machines in the Gloucester workshop.
• Assist with other duties as requested by the Machine shop supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
• Participate in training sessions when required.
Requirements:
• Engineering qualification, preferably a craft apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Basic CNC programming and machine competence.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Working hours: Day Shift/Double Day Shift
