Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (night shift)

This well-established manufacturer of products is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who can demonstrate previous work history within a fast-moving production plant. Someone to take responsibility for PPM (planned preventive maintenance), or scheduled maintenance, with a proactive approach to the maintenance of automated lines, electrical, gas, and water, internal heating, and fire safety systems. Key maintenance jobs are scheduled to regularly take place, with detailed notes documented in line with Health and Safety operating standards.

Job Description: As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, including PLCs, 3-phase control systems, and automated machinery. You will play a critical role in ensuring our production lines run efficiently and effectively, delivering daily customer orders in line with schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, 3-phase control systems, and automated machinery.
- Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Qualifications:
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship level (or similar).
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, 3-phase control systems, and automated machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.
