Depot Manager – Droitwich

Are you a dynamic leader with a proven track record in operational excellence, commercial performance, and customer service? A well-established industrial services group is seeking a highly motivated Depot Manager to lead its Droitwich site and contribute to the success of wider group operations.
About the Role:
This senior leadership position is pivotal in driving the commercial success of the depot, ensuring high standards of service delivery, and supporting group-wide reactive and planned projects. You’ll work closely with internal teams across sales, marketing, technical services, and operations to deliver seamless service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage depot operations, ensuring financial targets and KPIs are met
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, driving repeat business and new opportunities
- Collaborate with commercial, project, and technical teams to deliver integrated services
- Oversee depot financials, including P&L, invoicing, debt management, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, permits, and health & safety regulations
- Investigate and resolve client concerns and operational incidents
- Promote positive staff morale and lead recruitment and training initiatives
- Participate in the on-call rota and be available for occasional travel with short notice

- Achievement of depot sales, profit, and credit control targets
- Operational and customer service KPIs
- Positive feedback from clients, colleagues, and senior management
- Evidence of new business development and strategic improvements
- Timely and accurate reporting and forecasting
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in the waste, industrial, or environmental services sector
- Strong background in finance, sales strategy, and operational management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- IOSH/NEBOSH and ISO 9001/14001 experience (preferred)
- CPC in transport (desirable)
- Ability to work flexibly and respond rapidly to business needs

You’ll be responsible for ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations across the depot and operational sites, conducting monthly assessments, and promoting best practices.
