Health and Safety Advisor, new permanent career opportunity working within the house building industry based in and around the Hertfordshire and Thames regions. This is a full-time, permanent salaried role offering a salary up to £50,000 plus car allowance, excellent mileage entitlements plus further attractive employee benefits package.
Working for a recognised UK-wide Health and Safety Consultancy, we need an experienced and seasoned Health and Safety Advisor who can demonstrate at least 3-5 years experience of working within the house building sector. This position is best suited to someone who can evidence multi-site inspections, providing technical and HSE support to Site Management, whilst advising and recommending remedial work and support.
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will have previous UK-based construction knowledge and work experience with NEBOSH certification and a UK Full Driving. You are responsible for attending monthly management meetings to discuss any HSE issues and/or concerns, offering support to the Client Regional HSE, whilst faced with sourcing practical solutions that arise across any of the sites.
You will show a desire to challenge any unsafe working practices/concerns and drive through continuous improvement of H&S on-site. The ability to make and retain meticulous records is key to this role, providing reports and continuous updates to all involved. Naturally, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to converse well with all colleagues and clients.
