Quality and Inspection Engineer newly created permanent career opportunity for an engineering technician who can demonstrate 3 years previous similar experience. Ideally working in the aerospace or high-performance manufacturing sector, this position seeks an experienced candidate who has worked within a mechanical, manufacturing machining environment. Offering a salary of £40,000k plus an attractive employee benefits package. This position is based in Swindon and is based on a permanent day shift Monday – Friday.
This employer has a successful track record of sub-contract manufacturing and ideally seeks candidates to have prior working knowledge of AS/EN9100 or ISO/9001 quality standards and working practices. Reporting to the Quality Manager and Senior management team requires a professional, well-presented and communicative Quality and Inspection Engineer who can portray strong interpersonal influential and organisational skills.
Best suited to a candidate who is comfortable and confident speaking to customers and suppliers in person during meetings and in writing, therefore advanced working knowledge of Windows-based software is required. Key responsibilities will include assurance that customer specifications are met and maintained, and that quality processing and documentation are well organised, whilst assessing internal NCRs are raised and documented in line with GMP procedures.
You will need to identify, analyse and resolve any issues through a range of service solutions working with KPIs in line with each customer's requirements. Your career will evidence a range of quality inspection, and precision measuring, with CMM methodologies (preferred) with the inclusion of either BTEC Level 3 Engineering or similar.
