Trainee Tooling Operative required for a well-established manufacturer based in Swindon. This is a permanent role offering an annual salary of £29,394 (inclusive of shift allowance) and does include working fortnightly rotating early and late shifts Monday to Friday. Ideally, we are looking to attract candidates who may have attained a BTEC Level 2/3 in Engineering, looking to secure a long-term career with great prospects.
You will work with highly skilled and experienced CNC machinists and engineers, receiving excellent levels of job training and learning. This position allows you the opportunity to utilise your educational knowledge with typical mechanical engineering skills and experience. You may have completed work experience schemes that have allowed you to use hand tools and complex measuring equipment which as verniers, callipers, gauges, and micrometres, using your knowledge of basic engineering and manufacturing skills.
As a Trainee Tooling Operative, you will have the opportunity to learn all about the aerospace and automotive engineering sectors, be involved in the production of bespoke parts, and use a range of materials and metals to produce high-value parts and products that are used on a global scale. The need to inspect and perform quality checks is key and again the levels of training provided will complement and further your career opportunities for future development.
